Founded in 2020 by Mercedes Gómez and Andrea Fernández, CO,MA Art Services is a consultancy specializing in the acquisition, management, curation, and stewardship of art and design collections, with a particular focus on modern and contemporary art, as well as 20th-century design.

Our mission is to promote collecting through research, knowledge, and a deep appreciation of the historical, cultural, and aesthetic value of each work. We develop tailored strategies for every client, taking into account the specific characteristics of each object and collection, with the goal of building thoughtful, cohesive collections that reflect individual interests and evolve over time.
Our services include collection development and acquisition strategies, art advisory, collectible design advisory, collection management and cataloging, curatorial research, exhibition production, interior design, and styling. Through a multidisciplinary approach, we provide comprehensive support for both private collectors and institutions, from the conception of a project to its implementation and long-term stewardship.
Andrea Fernández is an Interior Designer, Art Logistics specialist, and Art Advisor specializing in collectible design. Drawing on rigorous research and a deep understanding of design history and theory, she conceives highly personalized interior environments that reflect the distinct character and aspirations of each client. She has led the design and development of numerous residential projects, creating bespoke spaces that balance functionality, sophistication, and artistic vision. Her expertise is particularly focused on early- to mid-20th-century design and modern art.
She holds a Master’s degree in Art Logistics from the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London and a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and Fine Arts from Suffolk University in Boston.
From 2015 to 2018, she served as Coordinator of the Director’s Office and Private Events at the Rufino Tamayo Museum in Mexico City. In this role, she supported the museum’s leadership while overseeing the planning and execution of private events, and contributed to the coordination of public programs and exhibitions featuring both national and international contemporary artists. This experience provided her with a strong foundation in museum operations, exhibition production, cultural programming, and institutional relations.
Mercedes Gómez is a Social Anthropologist and Art Advisor specializing in contemporary art for private collections. She is deeply committed to researching emerging artists and innovative practices that challenge conventions and anticipate future trends. Her experience encompasses exhibition production, collection development, and the guidance and support of artistic projects. In parallel, she continuously monitors developments within the global art market, providing informed and forward-looking perspectives to collectors.
She holds a Master’s degree in Social Anthropology from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a specialization in Applied Theory from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. She also completed diploma programs in Art History and Contemporary Art at the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York.
From 2025 to 2026, she served as Director of Gathering Gallery Ibiza. Prior to this, from 2021 to 2023, she was Director of Clearing in Los Angeles, where she worked closely with artists, collectors, and institutions, contributing to the gallery’s exhibition program and strategic development.
From 2018 to 2019, she worked as Exhibition Coordinator at the Rufino Tamayo Museum in Mexico City, where she was involved in the research, production, and management of solo exhibitions by Carsten Höller, Ida Ekblad, Rashid Johnson, and Germán Venegas.
Beginning in 2013, she worked as a Research Assistant at the Isabel and Agustín Coppel Collection (CIAC). During this period, she directed a photographic conservation project and collaborated on the exhibitions Rastros y Vestigios, curated by Tatiana Cuevas, and Camera of Wonders, curated by Jens Hoffmann.
Andrea Paasch is an Art Historian specializing in the development and production of large-scale exhibitions and cultural projects. She holds a Master’s degree in Arts Administration and Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), a Bachelor’s degree in Art History from Universidad Iberoamericana, and a Bachelor’s degree in German Literature from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).
Her professional experience spans cultural management, curatorial research, exhibition production, and the development of cultural initiatives, as well as the production and screenwriting of documentary and feature films.
Since 2021, she has served as Director of CO,MA Art Services. During her tenure, she has led the company’s international structuring and growth, establishing intercompany logistical and commercial strategies, coordinating the expansion of a multidisciplinary professional team, and conceiving, managing, and producing exhibition projects.
From 2017 to 2019, she served as Deputy Director of the Rufino Tamayo Museum in Mexico City, following her role as Coordinator of Exhibitions and International Projects at the institution. During this period, she oversaw the planning and execution of major exhibitions and strategic collaborations with international museums, artists, and cultural organizations.
From 2008 to 2015, she was responsible for the Executive Coordination of the BBVA–Museo de Arte Carrillo Gil Program, a biennial grant for emerging artists dedicated to supporting artistic research and production.
From 2005 to 2008, she worked as a Curatorial Assistant at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA Chicago), where she contributed to the research and development of the exhibition Social Sculpture: A New Generation of Art from Mexico City. Earlier, from 2002 to 2005, she led the Special Projects Department within the World Heritage Directorate of INAH in collaboration with UNESCO, coordinating initiatives focused on the preservation, promotion, and management of cultural heritage sites.
